Sarah W. Wood(s)

Pioneer Dies, Aged 98 Years

Mrs. Sallie Woods, a pioneer settler of this section of Missouri, died at the home of her great grand daughter, Miss May Fry, Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Woods was supposed to have been about 98 years of age, although her exact age was not known. Her death was not unexpected on the part of her relatives, on account of her great age. She had become very feeble and for many months had been unable to get about. The remains were accompanied to Houston, Sunday, by Miss May Fry, and J. A. Bradford, of Norwood, a nephew of the deceased. Interment was made at Houston, Monday.

Mrs. Woods was born near Nashville, Tenn., and removed to Texas county fifty-seven years ago. She located near Houston and resided there until a few years ago, when she came to this place to live with her grand daughter, Mrs. Samuel Fry.
