HULDA CAROLINE BANDY

Hulda Caroline Bandy passed away Wednesday, May 31, 1950 after an illness of five months.  Mrs. Bandy, daughter of David E. and Elizabeth Chambers, was born in Texas County, Missouri, September 18, 1868 and passed away at the home of her son, Virgil Bandy, at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 13 days.  She had spent her entire life in Texas County.  She was united in marriage to Francis Powell Bandy and to this union were born 10 children.  Her husband and four children preceded her in death.  She professed faith in Christ in her early days and was a member of the Big Creek Church.  Those who survive are four sons and two daughters:  Otis of Houston Mo., Luther, Virgil and Jim of Yukon, Mo.; Mrs. Birtus McKinney of Yukon, Mo. and Mrs. Tressie McKinney of Mountain Grove.  She is also survived by one brother, George Chambers of Pittsburg Kans., and one sister Mrs. Leona McCart of Willow Springs Mo.  Funeral services were held Friday, June 2, at 2:00 p.m. at the Big Creek Church, conducted by Rev. Fred Wynn.  Singers were the Big Creek Class and Mrs. Clyda Hibbs of Raymondville, with Mrs. Sylvia Smith at the piano.  Interment was in the Big Creek Cemetery under the direction of Elliott Funeral Home.
