Texas Co MO Deaths

Lemuel Frank Atkisson, 75, died at his home in Licking at 11pm Saturday following a lingering illness.

He is survived by his wife, Nora; three sons, Herbert, Licking, Edward, state of OK, and Freland, Long Beach, CA; one step-son, G H Little, Licking; three daughters, Mrs Dorlene Collins, Granada HIlls, CA, and Mrs Delsa Lind and Mrs Lena Randolph, both of Detroit.

Funeral services will be at 2pm Wednesday in the Vollmar Church wth the Rev. Sadie Miles officiating. Burial will be in Vollmar Cemetery under direction of Evans of Houston.

Lemuel Frank Atkisson, son of Lemuel and Palestine Atkisson, was born at Licking, MO, May 14, 1885. He died at his home in Licking 7-16-1960, making his age 75yrs, 2mo, 2 days. He spent almost his entire life in Texas County. He farmed near Raymondville for many years and returned to Licking about a year ago. He was united in Marriage to Nora Little, December 14, 1914, and to this union seven children were born. One daughter preceded him in death. He was in ill health for many years and was a bed patient for the past five and one half years.

He is survived by his wife, Nora; three sons, Herbert of Licking, Edward of OK and Freeland of Long Beach, CA, G M Little who was as near to him as a son; 3 daughters, Lena Randolph, Delce Lind of Detroit, MI, and Dorlene Collins of Granada HiIls. 21 grand children and many other relatives and friends.

Services were conducted Wednesday, July 16, in the Vollmar Church with Mrs Sadie Miles officiating. Burial was in church cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston.
